Does anyone have the answer for how to get stolen content removed from facebook, please? A bunch of fb pages feature my content, with someone else taking credit for my photos.
Is there a way to complain directly to facebook admin? I opened an account there a while back but very rarely visit and have no idea how the process works.
Any clues please?
Here is the Copyright Notice form for Facebook. Just choose the appropriate options.

Hi LTM, Sorry this has happened to you. I Googled the phrase,
facebook dmca request form
and a bunch of good information came up that will help you.
Filing a DMCA is the best way to do it when you find your work "allegedly" taken. Filing a DMCA just means you send an email to the admin at the site where you found the copies (basically it's a copy and paste form letter) - You give them the URL where they can find the copied work on fB and you give them your URL where you published it on hub first.
Then wait and see I guess. I'm still working that part out.
Best of luck
Peg
I'm glad you're mentioning stolen content... how exactly does one know that content has been stolen?
Hello erin. Simply choose a sentence or two from within a hub, then google it between inverted commas. "text from your hub", and see what results come up. Beneath the listing for your hub and any other copies that may appear, keep an eye out for a link to 'more' or 'similar' listings.
I often find a few, but this is the first time I have found pages of copied content listings.
Thank you for the information. I just found my content and guess who stole it? A university of all places. DMCA notice sent. Thanks again.
Sounds like the university considers you quite an authority on the subject, erin. Still that's no excuse for stealing your work. I was under the impression that universities warned their students about plagiarism, so I don't understand how one could be so slack. Glad you spotted it.
Thanks, ladies. It is the shortest day of the year here, so my solar batteries are suffering. Not sure I'd have enough power to spend too long searching through help etc.
Thanks for the direct link, Cardisa. Now I just need my batteries to hold up long enough for me to file my complaints. Near on midnight, lol, but I should be good for a little while longer. Thanks again.
Aaaagh. I have spent the past hour completing the Copyright Infringement form. When I pressed the button on google to show 'similar' content (not just the two listings that instantly appeared), multiple pages opened. And I mean multiple google results pages opened.
I spent an entire hour copying links onto the form, and then my computer crashed ... meaning I'll have to start again tomorrow. Ugh.
Now, here's my next question for those who actively use fb. On just one of the plagiarised pages, there has been over 400 'shares'.
Does that mean I am to expect my article and photos will be found on over 400 separate pages ... all of which need reporting?
Please say 'no'.
Drat. My solar batteries have had it for the night. I'll have to look for answers tomorrow.
Thanks in advance.
Very sorry to hear. I know it is frustrating as I have actually had the stolen hub thing happen several times now. I hope you are able to keep enough battery to get it taken care of when your tomorrow starts!
Hi peeples. Good to see you. Ah yes, the sun was shining and my batteries l-o-v-e-d it. If I could just train myself to go to bed early during winter, I'd never have the problem of using too much power. But that's never going to happen. lol. Midnight again now already.
Sent my long list through to fb. Will see what happens.
I have, in fact, come up with a creative new strategy for addressing the problem of plagiarists. Will try and find time to implement it and will let you all know how it works out. lol.
Thanks Marie. I do my best to avoid technology, lol, but sometimes there's no escaping it.
Folks might be interested to learn I have been pleasantly surprised by the FB legal team's prompt response to my complaint.
Just google searched and only two single offenders left. One from fb (whom I may have overlooked in my list) and one other culprit yet to be dealt with from another site. That was pretty quick.
Of course there are other hubs that continue to be regularly copied, but I will implement my new approach with some of them and see what happens. lol.
BTW, it is interesting to note that I have never had advice from hp on my stats page of copied content. I wonder if that has something to do with always using original photos so it is pretty obvious it must be my work ... or if I just fall through the cracks.
I am relatively new here on hubpages and am getting a bit nervous about these thefts of hubs! Thank you for bringing this to the forum, LongTimeMother! I wouldn't even know HOW they get stolen!
Hello wordswithlove. Just write your hubs, publish them, and make sure you include your copyright information (using the little box on the RHS of your edit page - I think it is under 'display' options.)
Keep visiting the forums and you'll learn about chasing offenders. As long as your writing is original and you are properly crediting photos you'll be able to regain control if the copyright problem arises in the future.
Thank you, LongTimeMother! I shall follow your advice.

Usually I find a couple pieces of stolen article copy on different sites. Today, it's more than enough to make me comment here. HP notifies us, adds the complaint link, and the complaint file cut-paste copy but little else to build a brick wall against content thieves. For every click...

Please make a note of all of us in several forums that have found so many (or our) hundreds of copied hubs onto other sites. Read the threads because they contain so much information and then DO SOMETHING about it for all of us at Google. NOW.I've only just begun to look for stolen hubs and...

I've sent three emails and a certified letter to a website owner who has stolen one of my Hubs, following the DMCA protocol to a T. (I got the vital stats and a postal address from Who Is.) All with no response from the website owner. My next move is to contact the ISP, who is clearly stated...

Recently, I found that a number of my articles have been stolen for use on various sites and blogs. In at least two cases the stolen version has been outperforming mine, and ranking higher on google. I have been busy filing DMCA notices, and most have responded positively, but is there any way for...

Yep, it was. I looked up the owner of the blog and sent the suggested dmca info to them , no response.I delved further and found out it was on aTumblr site. I looked around and found a contact that deals with copyright issues. Sent the information. They replied promptly, asked a question or two and...

Hi, Team - We know you can't file DMCA complaints on behalf of our work, but would it be possible to alert Hubbers when major scrapers are found in various categories, so we can all individually check for our content? For example - there were probably many more Hubbers affected by the 'Dan Gordon'...
