I am still getting sales on my squidoo account even though my lenses have transferred over - they don't appear on hubpages - who pays out on sales in August and September? Thanks
The August sales are clear from the Squidoo HQ communications on the topic: they will be paid out in October.
What is unclear to me - and anybody I have talked to about this on facebook and squidu - is what will be done with the sales reported in September. Logically they would be paid out in November (I think). I would love for HQ to reassure us they are dealing fairly with us and will pay us out for the amazon and ebay sales generated in September while those lenses were still on the Squidoo servers.
Don't expect lensrank payout over this month though - that is an impossible equation.
That's a very good question Ann as I know some high earners had/have their lenses still on Squidoo during September and may well still have them there for a few more weeks. I was fortunate that mine came over within a few days of the start of the month although there are probably sales in those first few days that I would like to see payment for.
I am sure Squidoo will be working to ensure that they make payment. I wonder perhaps if they will be sending the monies to HubPages for them to add to accounts or simply paying them out in October - which is beyond the last payment that they said they would make?
I am sure HubPages Management and Squidoo Management are talking to one another on a daily/hourly basis and perhaps if the former get a moment they could clarify it?
Look for Amazon links in your text modules. If you had used the Amazon tracking ID of that specific lens in your text module instead of using Amazon module (like some lensmasters did for making beautiful product displays etc.), then you will still be getting notifications in your Squidoo dashboard because it was actually referred by Squidoo lens and not HubPages or yours URL. These tracking IDs start with squid12345-20 or something like that.
Regarding the payments of September - I'm sure you'll get payments for your Amazon and eBay sales. However, I don't think we'll get the ad pool money because so many high traffic lenses have already been transferred. Squidoo has officially said that October will be the last payout (for the earnings of August) but they have also hinted that the money from Amazon/eBay sales referred during September will also be paid. I guess they will hold a special and last payday in November for these lensmasters.
I never used the option to use the Squidoo-created amazon-id in my hand built affiliate links on Squidoo. Yet on all my main accounts sales were registered today. That has nothing to do with links on new hubpages, but with a reporting bug that started on the 5th of September or thereabouts on Squidoo and seems to be fixed.
I'd love to 'be sure' we'll get paid. But until I hear from Squidoo HQ on this issue - it is hard to be sure as the official word we have on this topic is vague and (when read in the light of this question) contradictory.
Yes, this happened to me too, and there are many accounts that haven't transferred yet. Anyone official know what is happening to sales on the Squidoo account side that happened in September. I am pretty sure I read that they were paying us in Sept for July and October for August. We did just get paid yesterday for July.
Oh ok, then! Might have been a glitch. But some Squidoo lensmasters (including me) used to create manual product displays using Squidoo's tracking ID so that it would give lensrank a boost when sales would occur. I also used to do this when I needed to create a text link instead of a product display or Amazon module.
Regarding the pay - yes, we aren't 100% sure yet. But my guess and hope is we will get Amazon/eBay sales of September. And we also won't get ad pool of September.
I totally agree that this is the reasonable scenario. Let's hope you're right.
There is an update from Squidoo HQ which addresses the issue:

Thanks - this is great (and impressive). We'll be paid late September or early October - over earnings we generated in September. I guess Amazon and eBay pay large affiliates like Squidoo a LOT faster. That, or Squidoo HQ is dipping into their savings on this.
We saw them when they shipped. Theoretically, if people bought preorders, there could be sales for a few months, no?

Before the transfer I regularly saw at least 1-2, sometimes 5-6, Amazon sales from my top lenses daily. These were the first lenses I fixed up to bring to HubPages standards after the transfer and traffic-wise they are generally doing as well if not better than before. However, I have not seen a...

I wanted to hear from some of the more experienced hubbers and see if the amazon and ebay affiliate programs make very much for them? I assume that they end up being very little of your overall earnings, but I wondered if they are worthwhile. Thanks!

After reading the latest HubPage weekly about Amazon and eBay Product Tips, I feel that I should delete all my hubs (lens) that are sale products even though I have been improving them. This latest Google traffic problem has left me not happy about any sales hubs. How do you feel about them?I don't...

According to Paul Deeds' forum post, transfers of articles on Squidoo are beginning today. Has anyone had their account transferred yet? If so, how did it go?http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/123836? … ost2621573

In light of the latest Hubpages blog post, can I safely assume that any non-sales hubs would benefit from the removal of Amazon capsules altogether? These are capsules which likely earn me next to nothing for 10 months of the year. Also, how does Google determine what an affiliate link is? What...

I'm 100% on the side of doing a proper beta test and taking time to make sure every kind of lens transfers with ease - from the small simple ones to the big long complex ones - like mine! I'm less bothered by WHEN my lenses transfer to HubPages than I am about WHETHER they all transfer intact -...
