There is a perspective that the past should be left in the past. Well, I believe we can sometimes gain knowledge from the past. I once had a hub gather 5000 views daily because its rank was very high in Google. Additionally, it was a popular subject, but not completely evergreen.
I have some hub(s) that are on the bottom of the page of Google, but still get several hundred views a day. I can only theorize how many views they would get if they moved up a few positions on the page.
What are legit ways to move up the search engines? -- other than just posting links to facebook and that nonsense. . . I see a lot of potential here, but do not get me wrong, some hubs will never succeed, simply because they will never rank high enough or are not popular enough. Better to focus on hubs that have potential than ones that will never get anywhere (in my experience on HubPages on multiple accounts).
Actually, I am on the second page of Google (at the top) for certain long tail keyword/phrases etc.. If I could move to 1st page my views would likely increase drastically!
I'm amazed that I am even getting hundreds of views for being on the second page versus the first.
Sometimes being the first on the second page would get you more clicks than being on the 8th - 10th spot of the first page. Many people have said this and I've noticed on one of my hubs too.
Getting clicks is not as important on the HubPages revenue program (forget exact name). For Google Adsense clicks are more important, however.
When people link to your hub with a do follow link, it can help. An example might be a high ranking blog or news site. I've had this happen. It takes awhile it seems for the algorithms to shuffle and move placements. By the way - 5000 views a day is impressive!
Yes but that 5000 views a day for one hub happened back during the end of 2011 & beginning of 2012. It was on the first page of Google and at the very top! I can only imagine how many views some of these hubs would get if they were 1st -- considering the fact that a few are getting decent views with lower rank positions on Google.
Is it always wrong to buy backlinks? I would not want to do it if it is bad....But I see a lot of potential here, and would do nearly anything to see some of these hubs succeed like my old hub(s) on another account.
If anyone knows of a legit site to buy backlinks to increase rank and/or to increase page rank other ways -- enlighten me!
Some of these hubs are increasing in views and I am not even doing anything, although other hubs are decreasing in traffic slightly. There is potential here -- just like there was so much potential in some of the gaming hubs that basically gathered several thousand views a day on another account a 3 years ago.
I am willing to pay for backlinks for hub(s) if it will increase my page rank, as long as it is legit & is not overly expensive to the point where it does not aid my hub(s), etc.

I have a hub that gets anywhere from 200-300 views every single day. It's an evergreen hub. Unfortunately, if I type the title in GOOGLE it's not ranking anywhere near 1st page. However, it is on the 2nd or 3rd page for some keyword phrases, but rank is still low. What can I do to dramatically...

I just realized that my Hubs get absolutely no views from Bing and Yahoo; however Google on the other hand still happens to send around 400 a day. Any idea why this is happening? One particular hub actually ranks extremely well on Google and gets me 50% of my traffic, I just searched for similar...

Someone told me that they thought the following hub of mine:http://hubpages.com/hub/High-End-Acoust … latpickersHad a lot of potential, and that I should submit it here. So I'm doing so, and hopefully I'm doing so correctly. I haven't been hanging out in the forum, but I think I...

My CTR is sharply down for April. I've only had 2 clicks on over 800 views. Worse still these are both referral Hubs rather than my own and were only worth a few cents.Up to now my CTR has been around 2%. Is this just me or are others seeing a drop in earnings? The trouble...
