I just got an indication of a comment made on one of my hubs. While on the feed, the Comments box next to my picture had a number beside it. When I went in via the button, the comment appeared and I tried to approve it, only to receive this message.

"Something went wrong. You may wish to report this issue in the forums".

So I went into "My Accounts" Comments and there was no comment visible.

Maybe there's a glitch in the system.

I've had exactly the same problem and if I try to write any comment in my own hub comment box it won't take when I hit 'post'.

I wonder why no one from the tech support has responded to this post since it is happening to other people besides me. Thanks for adding your post Annart.

I had the exact same thing happen to me just a little while ago.  I received and email notification I received a comment.  I clicked on it and went to my hub and there was the comment, but when I went to approve it, that message came up.  I thought I was having problems with my computer, so I rebooted and the comment never showed up and I did not delete it.  I just wrote a comment on that hub of mine to tell the person I appreciated her comment and that I did not delete it.  That is a terrible glitch!

The only good thing about this is that I know it's not just me.  On certain hubs I can't comment and I can't find others' comments that have disappeared.  I can't even apologise because the comment section won't record my words.!  Let's just hope the glitch is sorted!
        Thanks, Theresa.  Much appreciated.

I've now found that if I refresh the page it usually works but of course the original comment doesn't come back.  I've had to refresh one page more than once to be able to send my own comments!!  I hope this doesn't last long and, yes, I'm surprised no one from hubpages has commented on this.

Maybe this will get resolved soon, Faith. I'm glad to know it isn't just on my computer, and yet, sorry it's happening to you. Thanks for your input here.

It is possible that a comment was entered, you got a notice, and then the comment was deleted by the person who posted it or it was removed as SPAM before you tried to review it.

Do you know if there are cases outiside of these scenarios?
If so, can you share the message with the link via email to team at hubpages dot com attn Matt M?

I can then look into if further.

        Hi Matthew,
Faith Reaper and Annart have both reported similar instances about disappearing comments within this thread. I do not know their circumstances. It was the first time for a comment to disappear on my account. I checked SPAM comments and it is not in there.

It is possible the comment was deleted before you could see it.
Please share the email as requested if you would like me to look into it further.

I am also still having trouble refreshing my page on only one hub; it's the hub where comments have disappeared as soon as I clicked on 'approve'.  I don't think the comments have been deleted by the writer.

That's what happened on my one hub too.  The hubber who commented is a long-time hubber and friend.  Her comment was there and when I went to click on the green approve button, everything went away and a strange message came up.  I received an email notification a comment was left, but it just wouldn't let me approve it and it did not say spam or anything, for this hubber is not spam.  I thought is really strange as I never received that sort of message before either and the comment was there to approve, but it would not allow me to click on it, then all was gone.

Hi Faith, The comment I received was from a follower and friend as well and in no way could have been interpreted as SPAM. I'm not really inclined to pursue this any further unless it happens again. If you would like, please send your circumstances to Matthew at the email address he provided.

Kindly take a look at Matthew's request to notify him of the circumstances by email if you're still having this issue. I have only seen it happen the one time on my hubs. If it happens again, I guess I'll try that route.
