I would love a feature where if a another hub-page writer comments on any of your hub, instead of you writing the hub-page author name, you click on it while in comments and it places the name of the author you are responding to in the comment box. The author name placed in the comment box can then be clicked on which will take you to the authors page.
Bubblews had this feature, and it was so easy to reply to comments. Rather than type out the commenter's name here, I copy/paste their name before replying. That makes it easier for me. I no longer use Bubblews, BTW!
Usernames in comments are already linked back to profile pages. I don't think we need a second live link in there.
You misinterpreted what is being asked. When someone comments on your hub, if you want to reply to that persons comment you have to either type the hubbers name or copy and paste it. What i am proposing is that while you are in comments, once you hover over the username you have two options
1. Visit the hubbers page
2. Reply to comment
That is basic programming
Great idea Clive especially with some of the 'odd spelled' Hubber names on Hubpages

I always reply to comments made by my followers and others, and people who I follow do the same. I have noticed however, that some hubbers have comments left on their page, and they...

The "reply" feature seems to be missing for individual comments. You can reply to one comment but after that all additional comments only have "accept" and "deny" buttons. This happens to me on both my computer and laptop on both Chrome and Safari. Other hubbers have...

When I post a comment to someone's hub including a question and they approve it, but do not answer the question, does that mean they have no manners? In your opinion.

I'm sure there are many reasons for and against responding to comments left by your readers. What do you think?

When I get a comment on one of my hubs I usually reply, at least with a thanks if I can. I notice some do and others do not reply to comments.I am wondering if there is any reason for not replying apart from being too busy to do so? Is it bad for bandwidth? does it score against your page rank,...
