https://hubpages.com/literature/Beauty- … Beast-Poem
I wrote this poem 10 years ago and am trying to share it with the community and get it featured but it keeps getting rejected for its quality. I like poetry because it's not too strict about how it allows you to express yourself. Hence, before I can put out a better version of this poem I need more specifics than the following generic explanation.
Articles that exhibit the following criteria are more likely to be Featured on HubPages:
- Complete and in-depth coverage of their subject area.
- Attractive layouts (text broken up into multiple capsules with high-quality images and media.)
- Easy to read text (consistent formatting that avoids excessive bolding, underlining, or italicizing text.)
- Evergreen content (content that will stay relevant for months and years to come.)
- Proper English grammar and spelling conventions.
- No spammy elements (e.g., spammy links, unrelated product listings, repetitive keyword emphasis, links to your personal blog or website, etc.)
Angelo, It's actually a great poem with a strong meaning behind it. What you need is more supporting material.
Try adding another text capsule with something about history of your poem, such as how you wrote it 10 years ago, why you wrote it and what it meant to you. That adds interest to the content that increases its value to the reader and a better chance of being featured.
Also add your "about the author" bio–a statement that appears right under your name and is the first thing people see. Your bio should give some background on you, such as how you came to write poetry.
The image also needs attribution to the source. And make sure you have the rights to use it for commercial purposes.
Welcome to HubPages. Keep up the good work.

Hi,Hi,I keep getting the message that my hubs could be featured, but no matter how often I change them, they never are. I keep getting told that they may contain "spammy elements" but I'm not sure what these might be. Many of my hubs were previously published in my local newspaper, the...

Let me preface this by stating I am not trying to be mean or a troll. In fact, I avoid the forums because I don't want to get involved. But with so many posts about the topics I'm about to discuss, I wanted to put in my two cents and to offer a reality check to old and new hubbers...

Hi its Louise again, I was wondering if anyone knew how to edit your hubs so that they can be featured and how often you edit them. I am trying to make blogging into a part time job or full time job but don't know how to get paid doing so and I am a horrible editor of my own stuff. ...

I took a lot of time to write the three of my Hubs as linked below but they seem to have failed to pass the featuring and thus remaining un featured. I am interested to know what I can improve on them to make them featured since I don't feel like seeing any of my Hubs in an Idle mode....

Is everyone disappointed about HubPages new system/standards?I've been noticing some people express disappointment with the way HP is running business lately. Some people have lost Features, and others are having difficulty getting featured. I haven't had this problem at all yet. I'm not trying to...
