why have i just recieved this email from hubpages?
Hi jimmythejock,
#1 question among people new to HubPages: What are Hubs and why would I want to write them?
Hubs are online articles that are useful, informative and interesting. They are written by you and because there are Google ads delivered next to them, you can earn money.
Here are just 3 examples that continue to earn their authors money:
Transferring Music From Your iPod to Your Computer
The best ways to ask a girl to a school dance
Banks that Reimburse ATM Surcharges
If you need some help publishing your first Hub, read through our step-by-step guide here:

i think i am ready to publish my first hub now thanks for the information lol.....jimmy
It does seem incredibly redundant for HubPages to have sent you that email. I mean, do you think you've gotten the hang of the site yet? LOL....
I think that I may be able to throw a hub together now the email contained useful links and advice, i will give it a try sometime this week lol.....jimmy
I just posted my very first hub. I went to a lot of trouble to include beautiful color photos from Africa. When I copied what I wrote, I was so disappointed that no pictures came out in the article., How do I correct this? How do I add photos to this hub?
Michael
Michael,i have looked at your profile and i dont see your hub.
to add pictures to a hub you have to open a pictures capsule and do the rest from there.....jimmy
p.s welcome to hubpages
Yeah I got the bulk email about how to start a hub too - I think someone hit the wrong button!

There seems to be a bit of confusion as to the most effective URL naming protocol and to make matters a little more complicated, I strongly belief that the hub claiming system that is in place is making things a little... messy,Lets look first at the most common methods of URL structure. Here we...

Wouldn't it be nice if some explanation about the hub came with the above mentioned notices. All you get is the general notice that you hub is overly promotional or substandard and it needs to be fixed. If it is re-submitted and is not fixed properly you could be banned from...

I just completed my first year on hubpages. Until recently, I haven't had any issues getting my hubs featured. Just a few tweaks coming from Squidoo and all was well, but recently with every hub I edit, I get a lovely e-mail from HQ saying, "Your hub could be featured . ....

I'm very timid when it comes to change if the change is not one of my own choosing, even if it is good change. Moving to HubPages was an upsetting experience for me, mainly because I felt the place we moved from would find a way to mess it up or that HP would treat us like illegal aliens.Only...

I just got an email from Hubpages about the hub I published today:"We wanted to let you know that Garlic-Lemon Hummus Recipe has the opportunity to become Featured! Featured Hubs are showcased on Topic Pages and Related Hubs listings. They are also made available to search engines. We want...

I have a love/hate relationship with Adwords and Adsense.A lot of times it's great - and at other times I think it's just plain dumb to use it. For example, in cases where the ads that will be served up would be in conflict with the purpose of the page on which they appear. One of my hubs discusses...
