Actually I think what is most important is emotional intelligence. Being able to perceive and use your emotions, and manage them is one of the most critical aspects of true success.

These are two catagories of cognitive process that are equally important... relative to what standard one is using.
Intelligence may be primary for one job, while emotional response may be ideal for another.
In the end, they play off of and support each other.
