                           Youch! I lived in Darwin for two years, that got scary.
                           Came outside our cyclone proof house to find a large river where the back yard was and our 8ft wire fence and all the flowers growing on it half a kilometre away. Crocodiles came right in to the racecourse next to our house and we could not leave our suburb for several hours until the storm stopped.
                           I hope you have a safe spot.

                              Crocodiles! I think there was a scare that some crocodiles broke loose from a nearby crocodile farm during the flood. There were pictures of them but the farm denied that their crocodiles broke loose.

                                                   I think we are both pretty much happy go lucky countries at heart. All the people I meet who came here from the Philippines are happy easy people to know, who fit in very well!

                                                         True. A friend working in retail gets $22 per hour for simple easy work and all benefits. Not too bad without skills. Repair men get$80 per hour on some work.

                                                               Other good accounting jobs exist, but competition is steep.

                                                                  Uhm, how about any of the Big 4 auditing firms? I have friends who resigned here and worked there but they went back when recession started to kick in. Don't know why though.

I was on the edge of falling back asleep after hubby got out of bed to get ready for work and then it happened. our little shit head as we call him more these days, Tiger the kitten, ran off the bed and flew out of the room making a lot of noises.
