What is the formula / algorithm of giving "ponts" / score for participation?
sorry... mean "points"...
I mean, for example:
- question - 1 point
- answer - 3 points
- added 10 friends - 2 points
- have incoming links from other sources - 5 points
- misspelling in the content - "-3 points"
Is there anything you know about the proportion of significance?
I had the same question few weeks back.
It is a secreat, as I got to know by reading some forum posts and FAQ. HubPages team keep it as a secreat, since if it available to everyone, people do some rubbish things to improve their HubScores. As I understand writing original hubs, actively involve in Forums, reading and commenting on others hubs, average hubscore of hubs and incoming traffic from outside hubpages will improve your score.
My hubscore went down to 60s from 80s after flagging 10 hubs of mine as wrong catergorized. It still remain in 60s for last 2 weeks. Their is no effect to my traffic, therefore now I do not worry about my score.

I have noticed it is hovering just below 85 recently. I have a few Hubs with a score of around 71, could this be the reason?

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!

Which way do you think your Hubscores will go with the NEW change to the Hubscore algorithm? See "An Update to HubScore" http://blog.hubpages.com/2015/02/26/an- … -hubscore/Note that the revision will:* deemphasise traffic - from all sources* put more of an emphasis on quality as...
