"I live in an apartment and do work on the grounds, i do not get a check the money is deducted...
for rent. I RECEIVED A 1099-MISC.and now will have to pay the irs $1200. I have MS and receive disabilty. If i did not do this work i could not afford my medication. Since this has been turned in as income i may now lose my disability. I have never received a check for the work it goes against my rent. Should i have to pay taxes on this? I will be greatfull for any advise. Thanks and God bless."
The best thing to do is talk to a tax advisor. Call a tax place like h&r block. Or contact a state or government worker and ask them. Also, I don't know much about "legal aid" but I heard they give advise.

Finally passed the 100 dollar mark to received my first check after 16 months since joining Hubpages. I should be receiving my first check in April so it probably will be a little higher when I receive it. It took a while and I hope the next one is faster.

I checked my adsense earlier and it showed I had 2 clicks for 43 cents. I now just checked it and its showing 33 cents for the 2 clicks. WTF. Why did the amount go down?
