Feedback - rating and voting... why don't more viewers excercise their right to rate and vote?
When you get considerable kudos in comments I would expect the rating feedback would correspond. I very, very, very seldom read without excercising my voting finger. Thumbs up or down... useful, funny, beautiful and awesome (for awesome and excellent since we don't have an excellent rating). It's not that I'm overly generous or do not excercise discretion with my voting, I appreciate the effort and commitment it takes to do what we are doing and our opportunity to acknowledge those efforts is voting and rating... comments are great feedback, but I would encourage more voting generosity.
I do what I want!!!!!!
Just kidding. I do my part of voting and feedback. I only comment if I've something to say. "Good hub," is kind of pointless, in my opinion, since you could just click "useful" or "awesome."
I'm pretty new here, just started yesterday, so I haven't browsed a whole lot but I will take this to heart.
Generally, on similar sites, I think it's the polite thing to do. Rate someone up if you contribute to the thread/idea/suggestion/etc.
I vote for it exactly how I feel about it. If I liked it, I'll vote up. If I found it funny then I vote accordingly. Personally, I enjoy the comments just as much as the votes. It's why I came to Hubpages, to see what others say about my writings. Friends and family are always supportive which is great but I also want to know what the general public think.
I like the comments a bit more, I think.
I always click thumbs up or down because it's fun
I think with so much activity on the hubpages itself, the voting kinda gets lost. I try to comment more than I vote, but on occasion if its a great hub I give the thumbs up.
I just wanted to add that with our great new Feedback stats page there would be a lot of immediate understanding how our hubs were being received. After you read the comments, you just can't remember how many enjoyed the hub and how many just ripped you a new one.
I would like to see the results of my read both ways... vote and rate, comment and the Feedback recap page is excellent!

Why do so many people skip rating a hub?

So, quite recently some hubbers declared that they might venture out to create their independent, 100% 'all cash goes to the author's pocket' blogs using Blogger or WordPress. I just figured out, after checking some blogs on both those platforms, that they might face one little problem, it's...

I'd like to suggest we get rid of Hubber Score - and perhaps even Hub Scores. They:- are constantly misunderstood;- cause a lot of upset and grief in the forums; and- encourage newbie Hubbers to direct their efforts in entirely wrong directionsFor instance, I've known newbie Hubbers stop...

Do you approve or deny negative feedback that includes insulting comments on you HubPages?

PROBLEM: Whenever I write a hub on a controversial subject, a number of people create new, fake hub accounts solely for the purpose of posting negative comments and feedback on my hubs and/or threatening me anonymously. These new hubbers have 0 (zero) hubs and no other activity, and they are never...
