Has anyone tried Adwords?
I just used a promotional coupon for Google Adwords to promote one of my hubs. Has anyone else tried this? Did you see good results?
Adwords is very good for selling products and lead generation, but it's very hard to buy clicks from Adwords and then arbitrage them on an ad supported site. If you do simple math, you'll see how hard it is to make money by doing this. Let's say you pay $1 a click. For each person that you pay to visit your site, you have to earn more than what you paid. Some people are very sophisticated at this and have found a way of buying very inexpensive clicks and then sending them to pages with high earnings, but in general, this is very tough to do with an ad supported site. Like I said, AdWords work really well when you have a product or service to sell and the margin can support covering the price you pay per click and converts at a rate that makes money.

The last couple of Adsense clicks I've had have been worth 1p (about 1.5 cents). I didn't realise it was possible for clicks to be that small in value! Can anyone shed any light? (These are actual clicks and not just impressions). Off to bed now so won't be able to check...

I recently tried this site out and have already earned a few quid (£'s). I have been pretty whipped out with work the past few weeks and its been fun to just answer questions, as well as ask them. The value of clicks on the ads there is not huge, I have had between 1p and 30p clicks so not going...

I am pretty new to hubpages, and I hear that a lot of people make money off of adsense and amazon, but I have heard almost nothing about Kontera. Is anyone using this or making any moeny from it? Is it worth my time?

So far all my clicks on adsense ads on my hubs have yielded a pretty small return. Nothing more than a few cents per click, while on my other sites i have gotten more. Why is this the case and is it the same for you? At this rate its gonna be pretty hard to make anything substantial from hubpages.

So, I've heard about click fraud, and I know not to click my own ads, but when it comes to friends and family, how broad does that go? Is there anyone in particular I should tell NOT to click the ads on my hubs?

I was refraining about talking about this but it really is bad. Last month with adsense was my most profitable month, but this month so far I got 3 clicks...What could have made this change?-New Hubpages Layout?-April 1st Conflicker Virus? I was thinking these two things can't be so harmful to my...
