are you allowed to have multiple accounts on Hubpages, and both with the same adsense publishers id ?
I only ask because I want to change accounts and write hubs on a different account name, but I have 26 referrals on this account and it would be stupid to just give that up.
Yes, you are allowed multiple accounts and should be able to use the same AdSense.
How did you get 26 referrals in the short time you have been here? I think I am missing something...
Thank you !
used a blog of mine. I am new to Hubpages, not to making money online. , plus I pushed hard to get those 26 and so far they have only published like 12 hubs so its not like your missing much =P.
basically when you have a money making blog, and tell people that they can make money with a free program, they sign up whether they plan on using it or not.
Yes, but if they don't write anything, they don't earn anything and you don't either...
yea I know this =P, thats why I gave them a step by step on how to make money from Hubpages and suggested they write 1 hub every 1-2 days. It isn't like I plan on earning well from affiliates anytime soon but, still didn't want to give up those extra impressions.
anyways thanks for everyone who posted on this thread. Love the quick and helpful responses.
You must have figured out the tracker link quickly also.
I have seen 3 ways in faq's, but not sure which one actually works the right way.
1st says to use hubpages.com/_signups/hub/your page link (is that with the underscore in the name link of more than one word or the dash as shown in your url?)
2nd is hubpages.com/_yourtracker
3rd is hubpages.com/_yourtracker/yourauthorname (again...would I put michael_willis or michael+willis as it is shown in url?)
I have used the one with _signups as I remember seeing to use when I first signed up. But after reading some posts about the tracker, I am beginning to think that if someone used my link, I would get no credit for them signing up now.
this is cls1321, the account I will be publishing new content on.
too be honest heres what you do.
if you are on a page like the hubpages main page or hot hubs, at the very bottom of the page where it says like "about us" "blog" "guide" you look for "Link to this page" and it will give you the link to use.
if you want to get referrals and impressions by referring people to hubs, at the bottom of each hub you click "share it" and than "link to hub" or whatever the option to link is and it will give you the link with your tracker if you are signed in.
I have done that. But what if I just want to post a sign up link to Hubpages in general and use my tracker?
Go here:
http://hubpages.com/user/new/
and click on "link to this page" in the footer. You can use your tracker in a link to almost any page on HubPages in this way. The link will look like this, with YOURTRACKER replaced by your url tracker.
http://hubpages.com/_YOURTRACKER/user/new/
So if I want to post a link somewhere for someone to join HP and I get a referral from it, this is what I would use?
When I click on the above link it takes me to a HP page that says "You are currently signed into HubPages as user 'Lily Rose'... this is the page I want to link people to?
I'm not even sure what referrals are, but I bet there's a hub out there somewhere that discusses it!
I admire you getting that many. I have 3 and none have written anything.
if it makes you feel any better I just checked and I have 28 referrals for only 16 hubs and 330 views so you aren't missing too much
I think people underestimate the value of referrals. I have 57 all signed up via my hubs. They have written 779 hubs so far that have generated 1.8 million page views. This means that most days I earn more from referrals than my own hubs. In other words my best hubs are a platform to get signups.

Hello everyone! I work with multiple accounts here on Hubpages. This is the first one that I created and therefore is where I do most of my interacting in the forums (though there's not much interaction on my part -- sorry about that). There are several reasons that I prefer niche accounts, and I...

Calling anyone who has considered having multiple accounts.I don't mean to do anything underhand with them.I've been learning to use HubPages by writing random product focussed hubs. I am now ready to do something a bit more meaningful. Off the top of my head I can think of 3 topics that I could...

Do any of you have multiple accounts on HubPages? If so, are you willing to share tips on how that best works, and whether it's been beneficial? Or the reasons you created more than one account? Thanks!
