I don't think that they do. I saw a question that was basically something like "how do I have first time sex with new wife?"
Besides making go WTF? It had no answers to that question.

In some instances, perhaps. But it depends entirely on how the answerer is utilizing the features of HubPages to find questions to answer.
Some people just post hubs and ignore the Answers section entirely, and never post Questions themselves. Other people go to the Answers section and select either the "hot" questions or "unanswered" ones to find something to comment on. And others still will go through a specific category search and select a specific topic to answer questions for (like "Marriage Counseling - Sex" for example).

Is there any point in closing a question?Hubpages gives you the option of closing a question to stop any more answers coming in? Unless the question was still getting answers constantly long after it had been fully answered, why would you bother to close a question?
