Is there any point in closing a question?

Hubpages gives you the option of closing a question to stop any more answers coming in? Unless the question was still getting answers constantly long after it had been fully answered, why would you bother to close a question?

I guess if the question had caused too much of a fight maybe?

Although even if you choose a best answer people  can continue to answer.

That's a thought. I can see reasons for closing a question, but what if it had been around a while and wasn't getting more answers? You probably should close it, but why bother?

I was also wondering that question I also find it hard to pick just one answer as it's normally a mixture of answers that are correct or even there is no right answer it's just everyone's opinion.

Yeah, I find it really tricky sometimes too. Maybe they should allow us to pick a couple of "Best Answers"?
