Backlinking is a very large subject.
Backlinking gives traffic in two ways:
1. Direct traffic through the link.
2. Search engines are more impressed with sites/pages that have more links to them.
However the quality of the link also matters - a backlink from a tiny new website doesn't have much worth in google's eyes.
My apologies that I did not find the question you asked me until now.
In reply, it is hard to quantify the exact increase in traffic because the bookmark links created by IMAutomator do not show up on the hubstats as direct traffic.
However, you can find the links and find that they are 'live' and these backlinks together with others generated elsewhere (see my backlinking hub) help me to promote my hubs and webpages in the search rankings.
Therefore, the extra traffic comes via search engines through the increased ranking of hubs and webpages in the listings.
