Koentra is for big hubbers. I mean for those people  who already earning more then 50 dollars from adsense. If you earn less then 10  dollars from koentra each month it won't pay you anything . You can check this hub if you are new in hubpage and want to make some decent money

Kontera works by placing ads on certain keywords on your pages. Its basically the same as adsense - but should we be used together for more income.

    Hi wsupaul88,

This is Jonathan from Kontera. The way Kontera works is, as cpvr says, we place ads over your content, which appear when your readers scroll over the highlighted word. You can implement Kontera on your Hubs, by signing up as a publisher on Kontera's website, and then by entering your Kontera publisher ID number on your HubPages Affiliate page.

Just to clarify our payout terms, our minimum payout threshold is $50, if you earn anything less than that, your earnings just roll over into the next month until you do reach $50.

    Thanks,

    - Jonathan Cohen

Kontera uses a script that you add to your site or blog.  And in turn
It will highlight keywords that are relevant to your content.  These keywords are usually highlighted by 2 underline graphics.

I'm am sure you have seen them...if you hover over this keyword it will balloon up with an advertisement.

To put is as simple as possible: Advertisers pay Kontera to have their links on your website.

When someone clicks on this keyword link....you make money.  Not a whole lot but in time you could make a decent income.

BTW it has been my experience kontera works best with informational type sites or blogs.
