Is it permissible to use product images from Amazon?
When we write product reviews, is it legal to post a picture of that product from Amazon? I will not use these pictures if it isn't allowed. But I'd prefer to be able to use them because without them, I just see thumbnails of my profile pic where my hubs are listed.
Also the HP user agreement concerns me because ti says once we upload pics to the site, we give HP the "right" to reuse them. I can't do this if I don't own the pics, so should I take them down? Or do product reviews fall under "fair use"?
Should I take pictures of the items myself?
It's fine. Think about it......the companies selling their products through amazon want you to sell more of their product and if using the photos helps you do that they aren't going to have a problem.
I have been using the amazon product pictures for reviews and have not had an issue. Obviously, the way you use the pictures would affect any response you would receive from amazon or other vendor.

When someone makes a comment on a hub, blog post or creates a product review, who owns the copyright to that comment? Does Amazon own the copyright for product reviews? Does Hubpages or the Hub author own the copyright to comments? Is there even a copyright for such snippets?

Are product reviews allowed or are they too commercial?I would like to write a product-specific review and was wondering whether such commercial topics were allowed under the publishing rules.

If you can write product reviews on hub pages, is there any specifications that you have to follow?
