Why is it that the title of my newly published hub is highlighted in gray instead of blue?
Since I have been on hubpages for a year, when I publish a hub, I see titles listed on my statistics page in blue. But now my last two hubs even after I published them are listed on my statistics page in gray. Is there something wrong with my hubs that look like they are not published?
They are fine.
If you have visited your hub recently, the titles will 'grey'. The ones you haven't been to in awhile are brighter blue.
It helps you see which ones you have and haven't been to in a while.

Why would a featured hub not show up on my drop down list of hubs to highlight? If a hub is featured, why would it not show up under my profile to put in the highlighted spot? Thank you for answering.
