Do I need an amazon affilate account to make money with the amazon widget on my hubs?
Yes. Go to www.amazon.com and enroll as a associate member. After completing the enrollment process (personal info), they will provide you with a Tracking Id. That Id is then copy / pasted within Affiliate Settings.
Yes you sure do. Google search Amazon associate and that will lead you to the appropriate page for singing up.
Yes you do. The Amazon capsule will place Amazon products in your hubs that people will be able to purchase them there. In order to do this you need to have an affiliate account there. If you already have a regular Amazon account you can sign in and sign up through that account. You will be given an affiliate ID where Amazon can track your sales.
Of course you do. Amazon ain't about to pay someone that isn't in there computer database as one of their affiliate marketers.
Actually, since your profile says you are in Santa Barbara (which is in California), you are not going to be able to earn at all with Amazon. They (Amazon) terminated/ended all of their CA affiliates earlier this summer due to new CA state tax laws.
I'm sorry all those people who answered you earlier didn't take the time to see where you were located, as none of their advice will work for you due to where you reside.
