The Name. How does one ground a writers name?
The Name. How does one ground a writers name, and how is it juggled in the real world when you begin to make money on your work? i.e. checks written in your writers name, but the bank looks at you like your an impostor.
Most people do not use their real names on the internet. Even if they are using a name that looks like a real on, chances are its a fakie, and only for the net. Some of us conceal our true names, but when it comes to the art of writing, people have used a "Writers Name," as long as people been publishing literature. I never understood how that worked.
I would say you have to legally get your writer name associated with your real name. Even though they publish in their writer name, they probably get paid with the legal name. I had a friend and it was this case and point. He had a writer name, but he was always paid in his legal name with a check. He published the writer name cause that is what everyone knew him by.
