It depends on the site. If it's part of the Blogger network, you can follow them via the usual bar across the top of the page. You can subscribe to the site via email or RSS feed as well, usually found on the sidebars of websites and the most common type of following method.Twitter and Facebook pages for the site also include updates the site's creator posts. But if you are specifically talking about hubpages, the green-ish follow button is found on profile pages of users.
