Depending on your presence on the web, it can take anything from a few hours to weeks. A hub I don't submit manually usually takes a day or two.
But, you can always sign up with Google's Webmaster Tools, fetch the page as a Googlebot, and then submit it to the index. I've always had my hubs indexed within twelve hours doing that.

It takes me 1 to 3 hours depending on the complexity and length. It takes more when I add more features like photos, videos, Amazon capsules, poll, etc.
