I know this is probably a silly question but I really haven't used blog sites before...and I was just trying to figure out what pictures you could take from the web? I see that that is an option but it says you have to have the right to use them?? So do you have to get permission from the site? What if they are on google images when you search them? If they don't have any copy right logo on or near them is it ok to use them? I am writing a blog about coupons and I just wanted to use some basic images of like people couponing like from clip art or something and I found some on google images but I don't want to put them on here because I don't know if I can. Could someone please explain?? THANK YOU!
well...you don't want to use anything that is copyrighted. Sometimes images you find thru google images can turn out to have a copyright. So make sure u check.
Your best bet is to look through sites that offer free images or image sharing. Wiki commons for example has several images that are free to use. Take a look at this post:

You want images that fall under teh creative commons license
Firefox has the search built right into your browser, in teh top right drop down
this subject is well covered here:

Thanks for the info everyone! I am glad someone knows this stuff! I use firefox too. So that is really helpful. Anyway, thank you!

I noticed a Hubpage which suggested ripping off original content and putting it on a blog with adsense to make money. It suggested that you could use the same method to make the content for a hubpage. I know that Google will ban adsense accounts for these copyright infringements. ...

Regarding the latest newsletter about incorrectly crediting images, is it suggested that we take down all images that are not copyrighted or cites "google images" or "microsoft images." Should we, who are guilty, expect a violation email soon? Or worse, get idled?
