    As always, the bottom line(s) here are these:  Is the page SEO optimized?  and 2. Is the subject matter one that people are searching for, but not something overly saturated on the web.

    The most info rich AND reflective hub about Obama has not a snowball's chance in hell, as so many people will be talking about that same thing, both here, and everywhere else.

    So the third consideration would be "What do you expect or want?"

    So if you wrote a thing about a topic that is saturated on the web (like Obama) - and you're goal with it was to generate a lot of discussion here from this site, then you might well be successful in that way, but you can't expect much long term search engine traffic - unless you truly provide something special while competing with not just everyone on Hubpages writing about politics, but the entire planet Earth .
