I am currently building a page and I am having trouble creating the links capsules. Once I enter all the information only part of what I wrote is being displayed. Is there a cap on how long the link description is supposed to be? I only have about 50 words per description. Any help would much appreciated. Thanks
I'm not really sure what you're talking about. Can you give an example? Browsers will shorten links putting a ... somewhere in the middle. You can always highlight your description and link to it that way. But you can't do a whole page or anything.
You can also shorten links by going to tinyurl.com. It will give you a shorter link you can post.
Also, when you create your hub, if it has a very long title, you don't have to let that entire title be your URL. In the box where it says "Give your hub a web address", you can pretty much shorten it to whatever you want.
An example of that is my hub "A Child Of the 60's Reflects On Music That Changed The World". If I had done nothing that would be the hub name, but I changed it, so it's http://hubpages.com/hub/protest_music. Much better, right?
She is talking about the link capsules that you add to a hub. There is a limit to the amount of characters you can put in the description box.
Thanks everyone, I thought so, guess I'll have to shorten the description.

I had six hubs showing broken links yesterday. I corrected all of them, but two are still showing the broken link icon. And, the edit date hasn't updated. Anyone else seeing this?

Where to find shortened hub links? Or how to shorten your hub's link?I mean, once you publish a hub, you would be able to see the shortened hub link to share but, where do you find that after. I can't seem to find it.

It says the hub has a broken link and there isn't one highlighted. After I tried all the links, I couldn't find one that didn't work. This is the hub barbara-kay.hubpages.com/hub/Free-Filet-Crochet-Patterns

Boy, now I'm really confused. Our hub summaries (just under the title) are supposed to be what shows up as a description in Google searches, right? So I just launched a new hub. It's reading a 94 hubscore right now and is not an Editor's Choice (yet). Here is what my summary says:"When it...

Normally, I approve 99% of all comments left on my hubs. But twice today, and once yesterday, there were comments left, all by "anonymous," that I simply denied because they were just way out of line. Not demeaning, offensive, hateful, or anything like that...just WAY off topic.In...

I understand that too many outbound links can mark a hub as 'overly promotional."I am wondering if there is a work-around, since I am considering a hub about various resources that people might be looking for, and that would mean that the entire article would consist primarily of outbound...
