How do I delete a thread I posted on the forums?
There is a thread I made and I want to know how I can have it deleted.
Once the 10 minute edit window ends, you can't delete or change it yourself. And if there are any replies at all, the thread cannot be removed.
If no one has replied, you can try emailing the moderators and asking them to delete it, but if anyone replies before they get to it, the thread will have to stay.
Put another way, that recipe thread where you complained about getting a low rating and then got a slew more is permanent.
That's not my thread! That belongs to kthix10. I did an LOL for something Mark Ewbie said there, thats it! I've done less than a handful of threads on the forums. Most have no replies, and one with one reply. I'll ask the mods anyway. Thank You.
This is good information to know about if you start a thread. However the part about if someone comments well that means most likely the thread will stay no matter what.

We recently made a small change to how forum notifications work. Previously you had an option to get a notification when someone replied directly to your post. Now you have an option to "Follow"...

It's not my place to "hope" what I wish would happen is anything anyone pays attention to; but every once in awhile there will be some really, really, ugly thread that it's posted by some nut-case or else...

Some people say you should never, ever delete a hub...only edit it and such. What makes you just completely trash your own hubs?
