When should you close a question that you've posted???
Just wondering if I should close questions that have been posted for a few days... How does everyone else decide on this?
The first and foremost purpose of posting a question is to get a genuine answer for something you do not know. However sometimes people do post some questions knowing very well the answer; the purpose of posting such a question being to highlight the issue. In such cases sometimes those who answer such a question enter into a debate which may never end and may turn out to be unpleasant.
This is the right time to close the question by posting a reasonably sober comment to unreasonable and provocative answers or comments.
Interesting, I was wondering the same thing! I think many hubbers provide so much rich content answers that's it's sometimes good just to leave the question open a little longer.

Why would this appear when I search for a forum post that I answered? "We're sorry, that question has been removed and is no longer available on HubPages." Under what circumstances would this be removed and who has the authority to remove it?
