Wikimedia commons, Flicker Creative Commons--just a couple of ideas. Plus, you can take your own photos!
Do a search on hubpages...there are dozens of posts and hubs telling you where you can find free photos.
I highly recommend the search engine at creative commons. You can search for works with various creative commons licenses. I generally use ones that are free to use for commercial work due to my ads. i don't care so much about share alike and attribution as I am happy to do those things. Creative Commons has explanations of all of the license types.

Choose a license will explain the license types. Explore has the search engine stuff.
Another good site is open clip art.

Hubpages help files has a very useful page on using images and will tell you how to site the sources.

I reference that page a lot. it also talks about creative commons some more.
This article from the learning center has a list at the end of places to get pictures. It also gives details on how to cite them properly, which is just as important has having a good picture. http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/legal-image-use

Where do you get free photos for your hubs?Is it true that you need a model release if someone's face is in the picture. How about posting a pic of a celebrity? If I'm doing a product review can I post a picture of the product? What about logos in your pictures?

Where is a good place to get legal clip art images to use in hubs?I've seen some really cute, cool clip art images in hubs? Where's a good site to look for ones we can use? There are times when clip art is more appropriate in a hub than are actual photos. Thanks!

What is the best way to make legally clear my copyright restrictions on use of my text or photos?I'd like to put a message in my hubs re-copyright. We all have different attitudes on copyright. My view is that I don't mind people quoting a few sentences from my hubs in their work, and I don't mind...

What is a good place to find stock photos to use with articles? Its the biggest hurdle I find when writing articles. Its not the articles that are hard to write for me its finding the images to go with them. I am a photographer, but sometimes stories need photos that are not readily available. To...

I'm curious where you all go to get photos. I used istockphoto.com sometimes and that can get pricey if there's nothing suitable in the half-price bin.For some subjects, I could use my own. For others, it's best to get stock. What good ideas do you have?
