Do I need a Facebook account to get traffic?
For privacy reasons I closed my Facebook account and I don't do Twitter. Will it still be possible to generate traffic to my hubs if I don't engage in social media?
Thanks in advance for your help.
It is possible to pull in traffic without social media. Many readers "Hub Hop" on this site and will find your hubs. They are likely to share hubs they really enjoy on Facebook and Twitter. You can also blog about your hubs to pull in traffic, too.
I do have to say, it really does help to use social media though. You might want to consider having a Facebook account just so you can join Facebook groups devoted to HubPages. You can meet many other hubbers and help each other. I barely use Twitter, but I do have an account. I occasionally post my hubs on Twitter. I've found Facebook and Pinterest works better than Twitter though.
There's plenty of other ways of getting traffic rather then using social media, but it's a great way. You could always try something ells if you don't like using social media. There's so many ways so I'm sure you will find a way that works the best for you.
Using facebook, twitter, pinterest, and tumblr to increase hub traffic is a brilliant idea. I currently have an average of 20 visitors per day from facebook while 10 from tumblr. My twitter and pinterest accounts are still unproductive but I'm very optimistic that they'll bring upon great results in the near future. Have a great day and good luck!
There are other ways to generate traffic, like google plus and stumble upon.
