How is the hub income generated?

If everyone is here to make money off their hubs, who is clicking on "Adsense" ads on the hubs to generate that money?

My understanding is that the Adsense ads would be clicked on by visitors who happened upon our hubs through a search engine. Like if they googled " Healthy Pancake Recipe" my hub would pop up as a result. So the best way to make money is to promote the heck out of your hub via pinterest, fb, linkedin, stumbleupon, etc and get more outside visitors!

That's what I thought too but like to confirm my understanding.

You can get income off more than just someone clicking on the ads, you get paid per views, though you need a high aggregate views to start generatig income from that. You can also get income from people who click on the ebay boxes, or if they purchase an item through amazon or ebay that you have displayed on your hub.

You can also win $ through the various contests that Hubpages hosts.

When you say "per views" , who is paying for those "per view clicks"... Google or Hubpages? Also which views count ... both members and non-members or just the non-members?
