A bit over the generated requests re my hub not meeting standards...

   A Bit over the generated requests from hubpages re the not meeting standards - I had three /four videos on this hub and was told that some or one (who knows which ones) had poor pixels or some such - so to fix it i took off all videos - so no videos. Re-submitted and now find that my hub is still not being published because it does not meet hubpages fine standards and this is despite the fact that it was a very popular hub three years ago and generated about (from memory) 300 hundred comments...so why it was good then and not now - sure  beats me... says the hub is substandard ..
   
   Another gripe is that with my eyesight  it is extremely hard to read the admonishments as they are not set out very clearly and in order to read them I had to copy them onto word then highlight them and then request no colour be used and even then they were barely readable -  still hard to discern – the point I am making is that not everybody on this site is in their twenties with 20 20 vision!

   I have removed all links to all videos and only have a small insert for amazon....so apparently it is just hub itself which is offending although it is not uninformative. So as I am unable to see what is wrong...please advise me hubpages or anyone who can help - would be appreciated.

            Thanks Sir Dent - there are no links on the page - the videos have all been removed and  the only advertising is a couple of amazonlinks within the one capsule. So it is just the information that has been up for 3 years with no complaints  until now...can't understand it...cheers and thanks for asking.

      It looks like you have some unrelated products in a capsule under the comments section, as well as some unrelated tags like "strip jack naked."  Sorry for the confusion.

         Thanks for this Maddie - I have gone in and checked and for the life of me I cannot see the links you are referring to...even the content box on the right side of the page only lists the content, the comments and the amazon box..However you were right about the tags and I deleted the offending ones...other than that I am at a loss...cheers and thanks again

               Pssssttt ajcor... Sadly, they don't actually understand our catch phrases, directness, sense of humor or downunder perspective! Sad but true.. many think that Crocodile Dundee was real... you know.. like Donny Osbourne
               
               And.. it seems that we sometimes struggle with the weight of the Northern Hemisphere ways also... Jack stripped in some circles... well... just remember that we have to LOOK upward from downunder.. ok?

            I totally get that.....have the shingles and have been confined to barracks for the last ten days (get released on Sunday!) and have missed on some great parties however better for that than giving this disease to unsuspecting people just in time for them to "really" enjoy their Christmases...There is a lot of chicken pox about in Yass at the moment!..lucky me...

                        I mean.. We were notified (very belatedly) of his untimely demise!
                        
                        There is a thread here about him and HP also are doing a tribute in the blog!  This upset all of us - Ernest was very popular and respected.

   One of my hubs on the death penalty too was okay for three+ years then I was asked to removed the images.  Until then the hub was getting 500+ visits a week now its lucky to get twenty since removing the Images.  I did put a warning up that the images may upset some readers...

      I feel this is so strange that a hub can meet standards for three years and then not - maybe the staff have changed and brought in more stringent rulings - my hub is about how to recoqnise infidelity (in point form with many suggestions from  hubbers) and maybe it has offended some people - who knows - sorry to hear about your loss of hub site visitors - I cannot understand this traffic methodology because if you think about it surely this would reflect on the overall visitors to hubpages thereby having some impact on their bottom line...cheers from nonplussed!

   The same thing happened to me and there is NOTHING wrong with the hub and there is NOTHING unrelated on it.  HP just seems to enjoy harassing it's members.

      Ever the provocateur.  I’m sure you’re right.  HP staff don’t really work, and have nothing better to do than harass hubbers. 
      
      There have been many changes.  Some may have been missteps.  And some have triggered automated as well as “human” warnings on hubs.  Yes this can be annoying.  Most hubbers thankfully have enjoyed a return of traffic and earnings thru the efforts of HP staff.  If we earn more, they earn more.  If they earn more, it means we are earning more.  NOTHING annoying or harassing about that.

   Not sure what the idea is to link unrelated backlinks. Why would anyone do that? I have a few blogs that accept guest posts and you wouldn't believe the absurdity of the backlinks people try to pass off. Its good that HP will downgrade a hub like that. Stay on point and its good for HP, good for readers, and good for SEO efforts.

   The unrelated links under the comments might be the pens? I know they are cheat pens, but they are still pens.
   
   I don't think anyone reads that section anyway. I think you should probably dump the lot under the comments, else bring it up into the body of the hub.

      Thanks for trying to help IzzyM - in my actual hub the ebay links with the pens has been deleted by me - the only extraneous link is amazon and other than that there is the content and then there are the comments - which i value as they are really funny...Maddie Rudd also tried to help me and she suggested the same thing so maybe there is a technical hitch that I am unable to see at my end... cheers

            He is home - thought it was a heart attack because of the pain site but it turned out to be pleurisy with the infection and pain located in the left side of the chest wall - quite nasty but thanks for asking Sir Dent...cheers

   Now the really good news is that after my agonizing over this hub and everyone helping me I wish to say thank you and that the hub is no longer considered to be sub standard and is back on the air....Happy Christmas everyone and a Prosperous New Year at hubpages...cheers
