How many articles do I have to write to get my first $100 Adsense cheque using Hubpages?
That's my goal and I have just published first hub.
well Curious, it doesn't depend on the number of hubs, so much as the traffic it brings, and the time frame you're talking about. If you had only one massively popular hub, you could get a hundred clams shortly, whereas you could have a thousand hubs on the early cellular development of the common finch, and you'd never get people to read your hubs.
In my case, my first wave of hubs on jazz guitar arrangements, five or six of them I think, got me a hundred bucks in something like a year. But to be fair, I just put those there, without writing more, for the longest time, so you could expect a hundred dollars much quicker than that if you wrote more hubs than I did.

How long did it take you to make your first pay out and how many articles did you write until you did? I am only curious.
