How does the 'scoring' of a hub work?

Drop in hub score and views in 24 hours
My hubber score has been 99 or 100 for as long as I can remember, and daily views between 600 and 700+. Then, we all received the "big announcement" in the mail. My hubber score is now 93 and views are just above 300. Coincidence?

Unpublished hubs getting bumped up in hubscore!?
This really isn't a problem, but rather something I am interested in finding out. I have a few unpublished hubs with little to no content in them, and the thing is, one of these hubs outranks one of my published hubs! Why does my hub show 0 page views for the last 24 hours?
There are three or four comments(one is at 24 hours so it may not count.) How could I have 0 page views if people are reading it and even stopping to comment?
