How do I share a status update with my followers?
I would like to let my followers know that I just published a book that may interest them. Is this allowed and if so, how do I do it?
I know that they can see your feed, so you can write a little status update there, or maybe a few over time, as long as you don't overdo it. But it's not like an email notification gets sent.
I guess you could also do a book review as a hub. That way all your followers will get a notification when you publish the new hub.
On second thought, since it's your own book, somebody will probably flag it for being overly promotional. But if you can get another hubber to write a review on theirs, then it would be out there. And you could share their hub with your followers.
Be sure to update your profile also and just put the news right up there at the beginning so everybody can see it. You can't link from HP, I think, but I would think it's cool to just refer people to your facebook page and they can follow the link from there.
