How long does it take for hubs to "Age"

Throughout my time here which has been short (6 weeks) a lot of the senior member's have stated the snowball effect or that hubs take time to age and suddenly your hub's become successful. Approximately how long does it take for this to happen? Cheers.

I would think after around a year. This is my experience.

Every one is different. Not all will age and be successful, some will.  I've had hubs that went viral on Pinterest almost immediately.  I have had other hubs that sat for several months before getting a lot of search engine traffic regularly.  A lot of it depends on how active you are at promoting yourself and your hubs.  I tend to write in a couple of specific niches and that helps establish my reputation and people will share the things I write on their social media etc. It's a multifaceted effort in other words - not just post it and hope they eventually show up wink

You have to remember that the internet is an ever changing adventure.  If you are writing about something and there is no interest, nobody will read.  However, it may become an item of interest at a later time and everybody will start reading.  This is why it is good to write in several niches.  From what I have seen, it could take as long as two years for you to earn credibility publicly and have your articles well read.  Some people do it sooner, but either way, you must be patient.  Good luck!

It really depends on the hub. Some hubs get a lot of traffic at first, then fade away. Others start slow but then build an audience. Some never get many views at all. That's been my experience, anyway. Sometimes it's hard to make sense of what will be successful and what won't, but usually topics with less competition perform better.
