   How are Hub scores determined? Mine with highest score is not featured, and has 25 all time views???

   I have heard/read many different formulas for calculating your hub score and although some of them make sense, they have absolutely no bearing on page views or the quality of your article.
   
   A case in point would be my Living Frugal . . . A Way of Life article that won Hub of the Day and has 1,568 page views but only has a hub score of 71. It was published on 09/15/11 and is essentially an evergreen article.
   
   As compared to my Pineal Gland the God Organ which has a hub score of 78 was published on 02/21/12 and also is a evergreen article as there are no new breaking news in Pineal Gland research and yet has 18,990 page views.
   
   The two articles mentioned above have also been ranked on the first page of Google searches for weeks at a time but that doesn't matter either.
   
   Now both of these articles have had hub score in excess of 95 but eventually dropped way down over the course of time, even with updates. To me the hub score serves no purpose and I generally pay little attention to them, after all they don't make me anymore money regardless of their status.
   
   I have 155 featured articles with a little over 200,000 page views but my average for hub scores are in the 70s. What is interesting is that 44 of those 155 are over 1,000 page views and 100 are over 500 page views, so I must be doing something right!
   
   I have over twenty un-featured articles and half of those are over 500 page views some in the thousands.
   
   My top ten range between 4,000 to 19,000 in terms of page views and yet the highest sits at  a hub score of 84, only one hub is below a hundred page views and it was published five days ago.
   
   I rack up consistent numbers (page views) week after week, month after month and have over ten accolades but my scores are consistently low, so I have no explanation and have pretty much ignored them for now.

      Thank you so much, somethgblue, for this detailed answer! You have so much more traffic than I do; I am definitely not in your league! But your scores surely don't reflect the activity. Very strange!

      In the past through RSS feeds and other strategies Hub Pages and Google created an environment where hundreds of thousands of viewers would read our articles but now because of censorship in various forms we only get a trickle.
