I think it depends upon what you find interesting and easy to write about. For me it has been beauty and health.
I too feel beauty and health care topics are super hit. You can get unbelievable number of views on these topics.
i think it is the interest and writing of the hubber which works..otherwise i think health and food.
Hubs that offer readers useful information (can range in topic). If it answers a question for a reader than he or she is more likely to click on the hub. In turn, you get page reads
