Ok, I am brand new to hubpages. I created my first hub/article and published it. I can see it in my profile, and when I view it, the bread crumbs show it is under 'politics'. However, if I go to politics and then click 'latest', my hub/article doesn't show up.
Clearly I don't understand how this works. Can someone give me a little overview? I have checked out the help pages, and haven't seen anything that details how hubs get into the directory.
Thanks
Well, if the people reading this want to read your hub they will click your profile and find the hub; so it is visible to others.
You will not get any outbound links from the site until you increase your number on your profile photo.
If you read hubs by the 'experts' here on 'how to do' HubPage topics you will soon find your way around and solve/answer questions/problems like this.
Which by the way -I do not know the exact answer to; somethings take a while to show up on the 'system' i.e. they not updated evey second.
Hope that helps until someone with more HubPages experience reads and responds.
Ok, sorry for asking what might seem like a silly question, but is there a central repository or hub category where I can find the expert articles on publishing hubs on hubpages?
Hi - one way to find them is go to top of this page next to browse it says Topics - click that - in new 'window' popular topics - click HubPages - a selection of HubPage Hubs will appear. I hope that is helpful.
well, you can check the hubpages category or you can try typing a topic into the search bar at the top of the page and searching under 'hubs"
Try looking for Darkside or Relache, they have several hubs helpful for newbies
Welcome to HubPages!!!
Firstly - welcome! Your hub will be added to the directory so don't worry. It takes about half an hour or more for new hubs to be picked up by the server and added to the "latest" section.
sorry if this is off subject but You need an avatar
after you write another hub or two, when you go to your profile page you will see the tabs, hot, latest, and best. Under those tabs you will find your hubs. when you click on best, they will go into order according to which one is best. when you hit latest, they all go into the order in which you wrote them.
I am sorry - I forgot to say welcome and my answer might look a bit like a list. My mistake - prehaps I should have had breakfast before I tried to write a reply.
Thanks everyone. I was just a littlt too impatient. The hub showed up not long after I posted in here. I will look for some expert articles to learn more about how hubpages works.
Good advice already given, so I'll simply say welcome to the Hub Community!!

I am venturing out into the forums on a rare occasion to personally ask a question I haven't seen anyone from HP answer to anyone's satisfaction to this point. I've just noticed a hubber which only joined around 14 hours ago who had a hub published only 30 minutes or so ago. See it for...

Do any of you have people following you, but they have not writen any hubs, yet these people...have some 5-50 people following them? And, do you think that it is possible that these people may copy hubs and try to pass them on as their own?
