I joined this great site two days ago, and so far I really love it. I did not post a lot of articles yet but I have some. As everybody else did, I created an account with adsense and from HP I am generating almost 200 page views a day. But when I log onto adsense to see how much I made, the pageviews don't match and I still don't have one single cent. Does adsense only work when people click the ads on my articles? If yes, then why out of 400 clicks, nobody clicked one single ad? And how do you people manage?
Yep, you only earn money when someone clicks an ad. Some topics generate more ad clicks than others. It may take a little time for you to figure out which topics are more profitable for you.
As to how we make it, I don't think anyone is getting rich on Hubpages Many of us do it because we love to write, we like the community here, and, yes, we can earn money as well.
Hi, thanks for your prompt reply. I am not aiming to become rich from here lol (although it is nice to daydream a little about it) but it will be nice to make some income. Writing is my passion (even though I fail big time) and the more I am getting to know this site, the more I am getting to love it too...
In general can expect to make from about $1 to $5 for every thousand times your hubs are viewed. However, you'll probably be at (or even below) the low end of that range if you're hubs aren't generating views from outside of the community (typically that means from search engines). Give it some time.

Considering that most people make less than $5 a day with it, I think it basically is. I understand that it has much more potential than that, but if someone wanted to make a living off of Google Adsense alone they would need tons of content and it would have to be very good content.Tons of people...

I can't believe it. Since I have started earning, I have never had a day when I made nothing. Maybe tonight things will pick up. HubPages, please check to make sure you didn't disable all my ads!

I had about 20 clicks that are worth $3.64. This seems very low for that many. Is it possible that google does not credit all clicks right away, cause last month something strange happened. At the end of the month I had day where I made about 8-10 times more than normal. I like the amount of clicks...

Since I've seen you here. One of your support staff found my account, so I retract my other thread. However, I'm still deleting your service off of my websites. Number one, your revenue reporting is AWFUL. The fact that you don't have all-time revenue on your site, or any possible way to access my...

I don't join the challenges on here, preferring to do things my own way in my own time. However I do read them and I do use the tips and tricks on here.So I just want to thank everyone that does put helpful advice on here about adsense. After following several different pieces of advice on here I...
