How to improve traffic for my hub ?
Why the traffic of hubs went down. They were all featured hub but not any more? Can anyone guide on managing the traffic for my hub.
You need to learn more about how Hubpages works and then please read all the terms and conditions for getting a perfect hub.
I recommend using a Hub template, then following the checklist guideline of 700-1200 words, closer to 1200 is better, inserting 3 pictures, breaking up your article into many capsules, and finally adding 2 "supplementary" capsules.
Traffic will go up and down from day to day. There are good days and bad days. However it is always good to look at ways to improve traffic.
Start with the Hub itself. Is it well written, informative, interesting and something people will want to read. Also is it well laid out, with good spelling and grammar etc.
Use images and follow some of the recommendations given regarding amount of words, pictures and other modules.
Being a featured hub is not just about the traffic, but the Hub itself and how it is put together.
The score of the individual Hub will determine whether Hubpages let's it get ranked in Google. Also your personal score (visible on your profile picture on your profile) will determine this.
Next think about Search Engine Optimisation. You need to know at least something about this to write your Hub in a way that is interesting to human visitors and also ranks well in search engines like Google.
If you simply write a hub and leave it to produce it's own traffic, you are likely to find it is slow to build up and even peaks then drops. Marketing will help you. If you have a Facebook page (if not maybe create one), you can build up followers on facebook and each time you write a new Hub, post the link there. Also use other tools, like Google+, Youtube (for videos), Twitter etc.
If you have a particular hub that you feel you want to push, create a link to it in your email signature, so that everyone you email will see the link and possibly follow it.
Writing the hub is part of the process. Marketing it is another entire area. It depends how much time you are willing to put into that. If you feel you want to only write and hope search engines will bring in some traffic, then it may go slower.
Also, the more hubs you write, the more followers on Hubpages you will build up; and the more Hubs you have, the more places you will rank in search engines. If people like what you say in one Hub they find, they may go visit more of your Hubs.
I hope this helps
I agree marketing is an essential part of success. Study the learning center. Read hubs about how to write and tweak hubs. Search for the term "tweak" on Hubpages and you will find many articles. Good luck.

I saw backlinking as one. What exactly is backlinking? How can we use Google Webmaster Tools to improve traffic? What are the changes to be made in the crawl rate after logging in, if any? Its been close to three months into Hubpages and I am getting a majority of my views from Hubpages. My Google...

Do you have an external blog that you link to your hubs? Do you write articles for an online magazine? And is it recommended to specialise in one or two areas - and connect a blog to these hub topics?I receive bursts of traffic when I promote my hubs on social media but I am looking into other ways...

I was wondering if the traffic will increase if we link to other hubbers with hubs on related topics. Will google value the links from within HP ie .hubpages.com?? Without links our hubs are never going to rank on search engine results, so why don't we try this. A lot of people write on similar...

I am starting to learn how to social bookmark. I've been doing it on twitter, facebook, igoogle, digg, delicious, diigo, my blogs, pingomatic and a few other places. I have only been doing it on some of these sites for the last four or five days. It probably takes a while to see...

I have done literally everything I could: I am active on Hubpages, I promote my hubs on twitter or insta or sometimes even tumblr, I have new readers everyday, and new followers every two days as well, I have written new hubs, I get positive comments or thumbs up... I don't know what I am doing...
