I deleted about 10 of my under performing older hubs yesterday and now my readership has really tanked for ALL OF MY REMAINING HUBS. My best performing hub that sees an average of 75 visitors per day is only showing a total of 9 views. My total view for today is at (24)!?!?!? Have I been penalized for deleting under performing hubs or is Hubpages experiencing technical issues.
Nearly everyone is in the same situation - it's down to the Christmas period. Everyone is busy doing other things and not searching the internet. It won't have anything to do with deleting hubs.
No I do not think there can be any penalty for this
The entire US is becoming distracted by Christmas, which is where HubPages gets the bulk of their traffic.
Expect to see very low performance and traffic through New Years.
You should never delete a hub,but build on it as one day it may make you richer.
Xmas is a time when all are leaving to visit and they are not interested in hubpages or anything else but ham and turkey..
So some reason I always get a surge of traffic every year on Christmas night and the next day.
I always assumed it was people trying out new computers they got for Christmas or people trying to escape Family...LOL
Hmmm strange observation but it makes sense LOL it can be hehehe:D
I really hope there is a glitch! My numbers are pitiful. 169 views and I have 192 hubs!
Me 101 views in 102 hubs... hayz... hehehe...
But on the other hand I have higher pageviews in Adsense by about 50% more strange... Hmmm...
good but cold here too, how about there,
It's hot here hehehe I took my shirt off when sleeping... Whats the temperature over there though...
It could be a problem with the stats reporting, it has been pretty random the last few weeks. At the moment my stats page is seeing a near 50% drop, however Google analytics, and individual stats, seem to be on par as normal.
Get Google Analytics, that way if your traffic really is dropping, you can investigate why.
It was definitely a problem with stats reporting. I had something like 200 recorded with Hubpages tracker and around 1100 on analytics. That's still a big drop off from where I was at but not nearly as dire.
Christmas is the guilty! lol Well, you should also think of writing articles that attract much more visitors....
Maybe it will go up after Christmas though? You know on Christmas day once the presents have all been opened and everyone has eaten too much and are getting irritable with having the whole family there en masse.
Maybe they will sneak upstairs (or down the hall) to surf the net?

I noticed last week that traffic to my hubs surge, and i was very happy but surprisingly things started changing about two days ago when i saw declined in my daily page views. More so, most of my hubs on google first page are now on page two. Can someone tell me what's the problem with GOOGLE?

Is anyone else seeing a strange spike today? I've been getting less than 10 page views per day lately, but it's over 500 today and still rising. The source is undetectable using Analytics, Webmaster Tools, or HubPages Sources. I'm still getting 0 from Google and less than 20 from HubPages.What's...

I have read somewhere here that google search engines take into account the page-views to compute ranking. Is it advisable to delete non-performing Hubs, those with 0 pageviews a day, as a way to increase traffic in an attempt to increase ranking? How do you deal with low-performing hubs?thanks in...

Today I am at 79 score. I haven't seen this since I joined a year ago. Are there people out therewho are constantly voting me down. Maybe it is time to quit HubPages. I have made a point to participate when I can. I guess it isn't enough.
