What do you think of HubPages acquiring Squidoo?

I just read on my Squidoo dashboard that content will be moving to HubPages! I never thought this would happen. Is anyone else surprised?

My first question would be "Why?". My second question would be how does HP feel about this?, and my third question would be can HP make it better or is Squidoo too far gone?
If HP approves and thinks that they can improve it then maybe it is a good idea.
The only thing is how much would HP have to spend to purchase and improve it?

I guess they have already agreed on everything! I'll be curious to see how this all works out.

I misunderstood your question and until that blog was shown (below) I did not know that the decision had already definitely been made.

HubPages will be acquiring key content from Squidoo. Read  Paul Edmondson's blog post

I was surprised and did not expect this. But HubPages does everything better. So I will have 3 to 5 articles moved over to HubPages. I have 160 articles on HubPages.

I see that 4 months ago that you wrote a hub about why many people dislike Squidoo and why it would be better to write for HubPages. So you prophesized this event.

I know some Squidoo members are upset but I definitely think HubPages is the way to go!

will this affect hubpages writing content? I meant it is really hard to get into squidoo, when i join in, i can't publish a page but at HP, it is a breeze.

It probably will not affect us. You can give up on Squidoo now.

    Hi,
I think it is good move from HB because the more the quality content present in HB, the better we rank in Google. Better rank brings more traffic and new opportunities to its members.
