I only had one lens on Squidoo, so take this with measured eye. My lens had some traffic at Squidoo, but not that much. I transferred and edited it, and have already approached the traffic it had. Since I have made a nice little bit of money at HubPages, and never had a problem, the place is great for me. I also like the information shared here. And, one more thing, we don't seem to be burdened by as many article structure rules. It took much longer for me to finish the editing to qualify for publishing. When I say that, I mean not grammar and spelling, more a lack of fulfilling the requirements for links, text, ads, etc in the right format. So for me HubPages is a bit less frustrating. But that is just me. Perhaps if I had written more there I wouldn't think that. I wouldn't hesitate to transfer here, for anyone else reading this. Happy Thanksgiving.

I think I only wrote one lens too, & that was a couple of years ago. I recently went back to see what the fuss was about & found that Squidoo & HubPages had merged. I'm glad you're enjoying HP's; I'm gradually getting back into it. Happy

I am missing Squidoo. Very day I miss the graphics and over all set up and look. I got more satisfaction looking at my stats, watching sales, and actually enjoyed and got more comments and ratings.

The forum discussions were more interesting.

As far as rules and requirements both sites are doing what the managers prefer. Nothing wrong with that. They are the controllers and I adjust. I enjoy the 2.0 system and HubPages has proved to be easy to adjust to. It may be the community that is not as homey as Squidoo, but no conclusions from me on that assessment; still waiting for familiarity to set in.

The excitement for making hubs is not here.

My views have tanked on all my popular pages and I imagine it is for many reasons. I had one month of good views. I am thinking because the 301 transfers were all working good and old Hubbers were exploring the new Hubbers. Also Panda hit and now it seems my presence on the web has to be started all over from ground up.

I participated in the question and answers section yesterday and had the same thought, myself. The community isn't very strong from what I've experienced so far, but I guess time will tell. I'm a noob to HubPages again. Penguin didn't take prisoners.

Turkey is roasting and all the sides were made yesterday. Today and yesterday may not be the best day to see how an Internet community is fairing. AngelaO and everyone else, Happy Thanksgiving.

Oops. I've just seen that I got auto corrected with 'penguin'. You could very well be right. Time will tell. Happy Thanksgiving.

Definitely a silver lining in cloud of change. I have no regrets about having moved to HP. I do regret the circumstances surrounding making the change.

Panda certainly didn't mess around. I read that 12% were heavily affected but I'm not sure how accurate those statistics are. I'm glad you're enjoying HP.

I've only just managed to reformat one hub. It was a little frustrating but I suppose that's the learning curve. On the whole it seems simpler but also there's fewer options for modules and appearance. I'm just starting now to explore the community.
