Why can't we post articles here that were posted on Facebook for exemple?

You could have a note to publisher allowing the writer to say since facebook isn't a publishing venue

HubPages is a writing site, for in-depth, original articles that are not published elsewhere. There are no articles posted on Facebook. There are short status updates, and links to articles posted on other sites. Those don't belong on HubPages, because someone else wrote them, and published them somewhere else.

I get that. But say I wrote a motivational article which I call a morning speel ... I could post it on HP because facebook isn't a publisher and if HP had a message to HP publisher so I could let them know that it's me, under MY name ... that's what

If it's posted elsewhere, regardless of whether the site is a publishing site or not, your post will get dinged as duplicate content. It doesn't matter where it's posted online---it's a duplicate.

This is  why I stopped writing here. I wrote articles that didn't get published because they were too popular and other posts didn't get published because published because they weren't popular enough. .. I got tired of that

Search engines penalize sites that post content that was published elsewhere first. So Hubpages forbids it.

I wouldn't sue HubPages for publishing something I handed in after I posted it on facebook. Anyway ... I wasn't in control of what I wrote and wanted published. HP didn't punish because it was either too popular or not popular enough.
