    Hi guys

    Can anyone help?
I've written fifteen articles and set up a Google Ad sense account, but the earnings/affiliate configurations still remain Not Set despite affiliating the link and being redirected back from Google Ad sense to finish the process?

What am i doing wrong? What else do i need to do?
    Thank you!

    Jonny

Have you entered your Adsense affiliate code into the appropriate place?

      https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/

3rd one down. Should show a code beginning with CA-pub-.... If not, click Configure.

Cheers theraggededge, I've clicked configure and it redirects me back from Google adsense. I've been told the code is added automatically (?).

You add the number to your profile, then it s automatically added to your hubs from there

I don't understand, what number? You mean, code?

I don't understand what you mean by 'directed back from Google Adsense'. You don't need to be on GA site. You have to do it on HubPages. Put the Adsense code into the appropriate 'Configure' box, and that should be it.

If the box already shows a code, then it's done.

          ID or code?
You need to accept an affiliation in GA for HP to work. Generally they don't accepted hosted sites, so there is this hiccup for many. My issue is prob GA doesn't recognize  me as a publisher yet.

I think the confusion is that you said you had set up an Adsense account, so people thought you already had your publisher ID

Well,  1) I didn't think an Adsense account was dependent on you having your website already posting ads and 2) I didn't realise they rejected Hubpages because it's a hosted site unless you were already publishing ads and could make an affiliation. It's a little confusing ans skewed towards Google's control.

                The title of this thread?

You said this: I've written fifteen articles and set up a Google Ad sense account, but the earnings/affiliate configurations still remain Not Set despite affiliating the link and being redirected back from Google Ad sense to finish the process

So it seemed like you already have an Adsense account and only had problems setting it up here. You need to have a few articles live before you can apply.

Thank you lobobrandon: I know it seems confusing, because it is.

As you say I've got fifteen articles live. So the problem must be with Google Ad Sense where I'm not properly a publisher in their eyes, I'm assuming.

As theraggededge says, all you need is your publisher ID, copy it and paste it into HP.

Login to Adsense > Click Settings > Account > Account Information.

You now have your publisher ID pub - XXXX...

Copy that and paste it into the settings here on HubPages.

The problem is, we can't see what you are seeing. What is the actual text of the response from GA?

The best thing to do is contact team@hubpages.com and ask them to help you out.

Exactly: that sounds like an opening for an invention of a shared page view for forums, unless I screengrab the stages of course.

      Thank you, will do.

    Hey wow it's active!
    Thanks guys.

Went to get my pub code, which I could not access before, then paste and.... it's already there.

    Perhaps an internal issue then.
