I have been going through all my hubs this month working on updating them and extending. Most of them I have kept the same title, but I am considering switching up the title on the next one (Mercedes Cars with Invisibility Cloak in our Near Future).

The concept behind the title change is, once extended it will no longer focus on just 'Mercedes', as other auto companies have made news since this hub was originally written (2012). Therefore, it will have different keywords, etc.

I am trying to decide, would it be best to:

    A. Update the current hub with new content (keeping any back-links, authority, etc. the article may have).

    B. Delete current hub, and publish a new one with new article/content.

    C. Both - Keep and update current hub with a focus on Mercedes, but publish new content as a separate hub.

I would re-title and re-write the existing hub so as not to lose ranking.

I guess it depends on how much new material you are adding and how closely it is related to the current article.  If you have a ton of new material that is related but would stand alone you might want to publish as a new article which would give you another one with ads.  If you can't get another article out of it without adding fluff or if both articles you feel would be too short you would probably be best off retitling and adding new material to update the other article.  Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, I created an outline with many more sections this time. I estimate it between 1,500-2,000 words so I'll probably make it a new hub, then update the current one with more recent updates.
