For the last few days I have had a problem with the Maven search bar popping up at inappropriate times. I answer the question, submit the answer, and my answer is lost and I am taken to the Maven seach bar. This has happened so often that I have taken to copying my answers before submitting so that they will not be lost.
Answering questions takes a great deal of time. This Maven bar popping up and destroying my answers only makes me less likely to want to use the Q&A.
Report this to the team. It sounds like a technical glitch.
Please send a screenshot of the Maven search bar popping up in Article QA to team@hubpages.com and we will investigate.
Okay, but the only thing that shows up when this happens is the Maven search screen, the blue background. You can no longer see anything about the q and a.
Better yet - make a screen shot immediately before you click the "answer" button and send that to Matt so he can see if anything looks strange there. And if you can print the source code of the page with your browser (at the point where you are about to press the answer button), save that to a file and send it to Matt. I would think that is the most helpful.
That would be worthless, in my opinion, as it does not happen every time.
if you want to reproduce this problem to see how it looks, go to your Q&A page and click on the number of questions. (Just under the word "title") By doing that I am taken to maven.io
I would like to know if the same thing happens if others do this.
Thanks.
Oh, You never mentioned that before. You previously said it happens when you click the save button.
Anyway, the number of questions (under the title sort link) is not clickable. At least not for me. It's just an informational line that tells you how many published titles you have in Q&A.
Are you saying that it's clickable on your computer? If that's the case, hover over it and see what the link is that it will go to when you click it. Most browsers show you that info when you hover over the link. It's usually at the bottom (left or right) depending on what browser you have.
If you can get that info, I'm sure that will help Matt a lot.
Since you say it doesn't always happen, you may have to refresh and hover a few times until you catch it.
I'm wondering why you would have wanted to click that anyway. Am I missing something?
When I opened up the qanda page on my profile, it was not clickable. When I open an email that says "you have a question" it looks like the same screen popping up, but the number is clickable.
I have no idea why this should be different. When you get another question check it then please.
I just checked and the URL it takes me to is the same as going to it from the stats page. The number is not clickable on my computer.
So? What do you see when you hover? Did you see my detailed explanation above?
https://hubpages.com/my/hubs/qanda which makes absolutely no sense since it takes me to maven.io
That’s the URL you see when you hover? That’s not maven.io then. You’ve got something weird going on. Did you try it from another computer? Did you print the source code yet? That will show if what you see when you hover is different from where it actually goes. Matt would need that.
Although I am only seeing the qanda site, I also see a box with "A member of the Maven coalition" when I hover my mouse over the q in questions. (under title). Are you seeing that?
We're going to need a screenshot of the stuff you see over the Q, etc. Just to make sure we're on the same page here. I see nothing. But not sure which Q you refer to. I hovered over the Q in Article Q&A and XX questions.
Same results as Brandon. I don’t see any links where I think you are talking about DrMark. That screenshot will definitely help. And as I said three times already, the source code will show us exactly what you’re dealing with. If you don’t know how to do that, please tell me what browser you’re using and I’ll tell you how to get the source.
How is this happening? Are you clicking on something that is taking you to the Maven search page? I always answer questions from https://hubpages.com/my/hubs/qanda and I do not see the maven link here.
I have no idea. I am not clicking anything. When I answer the question and hit submit the answer is lost and I am taken to the Maven search page.
You are right, and I do not even see the Maven key on that qanda page.
I have a silly question, but are you clicking the save button? You say you are hitting submit. I just want to be sure you don’t mean something else since there is no submit button on the Q&A.
Mine works fine. Try clearing your cache or try another browser. See if that’s any different.
THis is still an issue, which is why I posted it under the "official hubpages help" thread. It just happened again, after I had spent about 15 minutes typing a thorough answer.
I did not copy it and it was thus lost.
Sorry to hear that. I always write anything lengthy off-line and then copy and paste it. That avoids ever having that issue.
Thanks. I remember you mentioning that in another thread. I wish I had listened to you before.
I cannot reproduce this issue. I think it is best if you let the staff know the browser and the version of the browser too.

Don't know if this is the correct term, but my back button, arrow thingy, doesn't seem to be working for question/answer. It's also refused to work on a hub just now. It seems to work fine everywhere else. Have tried refreshing the browser. Any comments?

Is it fair game, when another member take your question and make a hub out of it.I noticed that I asked a question and a member took my question and wrote a hub about it, is that fair game?
