I'm at 3000 words here and I think I've said everything I want to say. The school in me says I need a conclusion paragraph but I have no idea what to put in it. Do you think leaving a conclusion paragraph out makes the article incomplete?

Edit note: I'm still adding photos. But I published so you guys could see.

Oops. I always forget if it can be seen or not. Should be accessible now though it's still going through quality. I'll be surprised if it passes. Lol

As a rule of thumb, I think it's good to have "take away" at the end, which is another way of saying a conclusion. Readers tend to like it.

Anne, Although not always necessary, it never hurts to have a conclusion that ties all the pieces together. You have a good article there, but since you're asking, I would recommend you take point number 8 out of the "Things To Remember" section and move that to the very end under a "Conclusion" subtitle. That puts a good ending to it. Wouldn't you say?

You also will want to move the images around to the appropriate locations rather than all stuck together, but I think you already are planning that since you said you're not finished.

That's a good idea on point 8. I hadn't thought of that. For the pictures, I have more that I need to add. The ones there I think I'm going to make a 4-picture collage as they're all relevant. I hadn't decided yet. I still have to photograph two more pictures to complete the article. I should go do that now. Lol

Good article. I think the "Things to remember" is a good conclusion and you do not need to add anything else. That section sums it all up for the readers.

I did take Glenn's advice and moved what was Point 8 to the conclusion. I'm still not sure if it's finished but it's closer than it was, so I appreciate everyone's advice. Thank you.

Looks good Anne. Here’s an additional thought:

That comment you posted in response to Pamela in your hub would actually make a great introduction if you place that at the top. It leads into the discussion with a great explanation of where you’re headed with the article and would keep the reader engaged.

I’ve made comments in hubs in the past that I decided later to move into the main content. Sometimes our best material comes from responses to others.
